She is originally from Walnut Creek, California, but was raised in Dayton, Ohio. Ms. Dunford obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in 1999 with a major in Communication/Public Relations. Ms. Dunford also obtained her teaching credential and was a high school English teacher for several years. As a teacher, Ms. Dunford was exposed to many of the familial challenges and adversities that her students had to endure on a daily basis. Chasing a deeper desire to help her students and other families like her students’ families, Ms. Dunford decided that real change could only happen by working within the system. She ultimately decided that working as an attorney would be that mechanism for change. Ms. Dunford obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton in 2007 and became a member of the California State Bar that same year.
Ms. Dunford has practiced in the San Francisco
Bay Area since she became licensed in 2007.
She has practiced in the areas of Criminal Law, Juvenile Delinquency
Law, and Juvenile Dependency Law. Ms.
Dunford currently practices in the areas of Family Law, Special Education Law
and Juvenile Delinquency Law. Ms.
Dunford has traveled throughout the state as a speaker for the State Bar of
California’s Incubator Initiative. This
program encourages and assists new attorneys in starting their own practices. Ms. Dunford has 2 children and has been
married for 18 years.
